The Story Thieves
Here are the first three sentences of The Story Thieves.
As most of you know, this is the second book, following The Story Thief. I’m finally turning my copius amounts of notes and handwritten drafts into an actual draft.
In the strangled light of an old movie theater in Yakima, Washington there are forty people whispering to each other. They are telling stories. This is how it has to happen now.

Cows and Chickens
Today I saw a gathering people at a reception watch a group of cows and their calves from a hill in Yakima, basically excited to see this. Almost all of them had eaten or were eating hamburgers.
Later in the night, I saw Ems family and they had just got two baby chickens “peeps” and that night, for dinner, they were eating chicken.
